Clarence House, the private residence of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles (aka the Duchess of Cornwall), is about to get slightly less private: For the entire month of August, while the couple is away at their summer home, the palace will open up to visitors. The one-hour tour will take visitors through several rooms, including the Garden Room, where the royal couple officially receives guests, and the Morning Room, a drawing room which gets its name from the light that trickles in early in the day and is reportedly Camilla's favorite place in the house. (Not included: rifling through the royal medicine cabinet.)

Tickets for the tour cost £10 (about $13) per person, although hardcore royal fans might want to upgrade to the exclusive tour for £35 ($46): this one also includes access to the Cornwall Room, where 22 watercolors painted by Prince Charles himself are hanging. (Some of them, in a meta-inducing move, depict other royal residences.) The money goes to the Royal Collection Trust, a charity that pays for maintenance and repairs of Clarence House and other royals' homes. But don't expect a cup of tea at the end of the tour: Instead, the guide passes out complimentary glasses of Champagne.
